Katie Schwartz
Katie is a NASM certified personal trainer with a background in teaching group fitness, boxing, and dance.
As a teenager Katie got very sick and was told she could expect to be in a wheelchair by 30-years-old. Katie wouldn’t imagine a world where she couldn’t dance, so she felt inspired to start lifting weights. Not only did that decision change (and save) her life, it drove Katie to share her experience to help improve other people’s lives as well.
She has worked with people all over the country, of all ages and backgrounds (including private strength and dance training for the cast and crew of a Marvel film!)
As a trainer Katie hopes to make her clients feel as happy about going to the gym as she is. If it’s going to be a part of your lifestyle, you should enjoy it! Her focus is on helping members achieve their unique and specific goals whether they are aesthetic, to play a sport, or to chase after their grandkids at the park. From her own training as an athlete, bodybuilder, dancer, martial artist, and chronically ill person, Katie uses all her different knowledge along with humor to coach.
Outside of the gym Katie is a SAG/AFTRA and AEA actress, dancer, singer, and stunt performer. She also writes, has been known to do stand-up comedy, slap the bass, and play softball (even though that’s how she broke her leg.) Her Achilles heel is eating Mickey Mouse shaped goldfish crackers, along with her actual Achilles heel which has a bunch of scar tissue from that broken fibula mentioned earlier.
Most importantly Katie loves to make people feel inspired and supported through her work in both fitness and the arts. Oh! And remember to breathe, drink water, and always train all three parts of your glutes!
