Chris Recinos
I was born in El Salvador and raised in Los Angeles and have been drawn to movement for as long as I can remember: from spending most of my childhood outside and being active to years of exploring strength, movement, boxing, and martial arts. That curiosity eventually grew into a deeper study of training and human movement and ultimately into a career in coaching.
As a coach, I specialize in boxing and functional strength, with an approach that also blends mobility, conditioning, and athletic movement. I believe good training should meet people where they are and help them build strength and skills they can actually use. One of my strengths as a coach is taking complicated concepts and making them simple. Whether someone is new to training or has years of experience, I want my clients to understand what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and leave feeling more capable.
In college, I studied both Kinesiology and Athletic Coaching and have continued my education across strength, performance, mobility, and movement. My training includes Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) , EXOS Performance Specialist, Pain-Free Performance Specialist, Functional Range Conditioning, and 500-hour yoga teacher training.
Outside of coaching, I continue to train in boxing and martial arts. I love spending time outside, exploring different forms of movement, cruising around the city on two wheels, and anything involving music and dancing.
Fun Fact: One thing people usually don’t expect is that I also play the Native American flute.
